Lyrics

Interrupting all programmes

This is radio clash from pirate satellite

Orbiting your living room,

Cashing in the bill of rights

Cuban army surplus or refusing all third lights

This is radio clash on pirate satellite

This sound does not subscribe

To the international plan

In the psycho shadow of the white right hand

Then that see ghettology as an urban Vietnam

Giving deadly exhibitions of murder by napalm

This is radio clash tearing up the seven veils

This is radio clash please save us, not the whales

This is radio clash underneath a mushroom cloud

This is radio clash

You don't need that funeral shroud

Forces have been looting

My humanity

Curfews have been curbing

The end of liberty

Hands of law have sorted through

My identity

But now this sound is brave

And wants to be free - anyway to be free

This is radio clash on pirate satellite

This is not free Europe

Noh an armed force network

This is radio clash using audio ammunition

This is radio clash can we get that world to listen?

This is radio clash using aural ammunition

This is radio clash can we get that world to listen?

This is radio clash on pirate satellite

Orbiting your living room,

Cashing in the bill of rights

This is radio clash on pirate satellite

This is radio clash everybody hold on tight

A-riggy diggy dig dang dang

Go back to urban 'nam

That's my dad, Luis Orengo, 44 seconds and 48 seconds into the video :) The recording was at a park where folks were gathered singing. My father wouldn't wait to be invited. He joined in and starting leading the crowd not knowing he was being filmed and that it would make it into a music video. Pretty freakin' awesome to look back on.

I'm not here because Stranger Things or Battlefield. I'm here because I actually love The Clash.
Kevin Tufts
The Clash came across the pond and witnessed the absolute infancy of Hip Hop in NY!!!!

At one time the Clash was the most important band in the world. A punk band that could actually play their instruments well. LOL. London Calling is one of the greatest albums of all time.
Carlos López
It's funny how you get some stinky ass streetpunks saying "Oh, you listen to The Clash? That's not Punk!" The lyrics from this song make it one of the best Punk songs ever.

...the hours I spent during the early 1980s watching MTV to catch this video. It was a good day when I saw this AND "Should I Stay or Go."

damnDamnDAMN!!!!...I wish people knew... this s💥💥t was freaking booties and brains so far out that I still don’t know if they knew where it was coming from. I mean... 🤯 how can you deal with brilliance on this level? I’m 48, a black chick and I even knew how amazing this was back when it was released. I had it on a 12 inch record, if anyone knows what it was...I’m listening to it, and it feels timeless. Ridiculous genres of sound I could never explain. Let’s see... a bit punk, but not really, only if you knew, dub ALL OVER THE PLACE... and the genius lyrics that I didn’t really know about until I was much older. I did love BAD...and I hear their roots in this. Combat Rock was a great album no doubt, and I hear the seeds planted in this song...I’ll be in love with this forever 💕❤️💜❤️💕🙏🏾👌🏾☮️

The ONLY band that matters.

Man, I thought Mick was so cool. After seeing videos from combat Rock, I started wearing a black leather jacket and black fedora on my head. being a teen in the 80 s was awesome.
Do We He Lee
The Clash really set the groundwork for the early industrial hip-hop bands here. Really sounds like like an upbeat beatnigs track.

These guys didn't mess around. Coolest band ever. I'm glad this video is back.
Kwadwo Holloway
This was in which the band was experimenting with funk music.

"That's enough now, I'm tired of singing."
This is still one of the best music videos ever made, besides the good song. I liked the 12" EP with the four versions on it. great stuff.

THIS IS RADIO CLASH

Eran punks, pero esa era una generación que cuestionaba y se manifestaba en contra de lo que sea. Ahora solo hay generaciones de zombies sin cerebro a los que les roban la libertad en las propias narices.
Fox Bat
I remember this video from the '80's. Loved it then it disappeared for a while on here. So glad it's back!
Daniel Bogota
Wait a minute... What's this Stranger Things that everyone keeps talking about? I first heard this in 1982.
HasinaiMan
I love listening to this followed by The Magnificent Seven. Biting prescient socio-political commentary courtesy of Joe Strummer, Mick Jones, Topper Headon and Paul Simonon.

La única banda que realmente importa.
